Be Blessed Verse
This week’s verse is Ps 139:14 (TPT)
It says, “I thank you, God, for making me so mysteriously complex! Everything you do is marvelously breathtaking. It simply amazes me to think about it! How thoroughly you know me, Lord!”

Amy’s Bohemian Paradise: An Interview With My Bohemian-Style Client
Here is my conversation with Amy:
Me: Tell us a little about your home. How long have you lived there? What had you done already prior to working with me?
Amy: I've lived here for about seven years. We bought it about eight years ago.
Before you and I started working together, my husband and I just fell in love with this house. We’ve renovated the kitchen, but the family room needed updating to go with the flow. That was when you stepped in and started working.
Me: When did you hire me?
Amy: I thought, “I have the house of my dreams, why not make it completely my dream?”
I knew I needed some help doing that.
Me: What were your first concerns about your house?
Amy: I didn’t know what I didn’t know.
At first, we chose area rugs throughout the house, because I have hard surface flooring.
I was really surprised at the sizes that you recommended. I thought, “Are you serious? It seemed way too huge, but as it turned out, they were not too big and actually made the rooms look larger…
Our focus was colors at first, not furniture.
I then started learning about color tones and my color palette. It isn’t just a color in my house. It is a color with black or even grey…
And another thing was that I did not really know my Interior Design personality or furniture style. I just wasn’t sure.
You had a quiz on one of your episodes, so I took it.
It was fun and it determined that I was a Bohemian style and a little Transitional Style too. That meant that my Bohemian Style was not as busy as some others that have the Bohemian Style.
I do not like clutter, so that was a great confirmation.
I always wanted to know what my decorating and furniture style was, and now I know..,Yay!
Me: What do you love about the Bohemian style?
Amy: Bohemian is a far-out, fun style. It fits me perfectly. It is whimsical and the transitional part helps to keep it classy too.
Me: SURPRISES?
Amy: One surprising thing was that even the smallest touch could make a huge difference.
Another surprise was a very large bookcase that I had in my family room was white and traditional. My thought was “Why would I change something functional? And, it would cost a lot of money to do that.”
You told me it did not really go with my new kitchen design or the style we were going with within the open family room.
I also had the TV over the fireplace, which you wanted to move to the new bookcase wall.
So, I had the white traditional bookcase removed and you designed this beautiful Bohemian Bookcase wall that I absolutely love!
The picture above is the background and the area rug mentioned in the podcast.
Me: Don’t forget the new mantle…
Amy: Yes, we changed out the mantle!
It is a big wood beam now that looks so classy, rustic, and beautiful with everything else. It all goes so pretty together now.
Now, let’s talk about furniture!
Me: How was your experience shopping at the Designer Showrooms?
Amy: It was Covid time, so we wore our masks. I had to have an appointment because the showroom was not available to the public. The furniture actually was very cool. I found a beautiful big sectional for my family room. It is extremely comfortable and has performance fabric. I learned about that too.
Me: Please tell them about your quote that I so love…
Amy: My quote that you love is “You can live without things you like, but you can’t live without the things that you LOVE!”
Me: What can you say about my services or working with me?
Amy: I have really learned sooo much working with you You are a natural teacher.
Now I love my family room. I love sitting in there and just looking at everything. I love it all! It is the coolest room in the house - it just feels right and sooo nice.
There is more to go, but it has been sooo rewarding so far and I know that this has added to the value of my home well beyond what I have spent to buy things and do the work, not to mention how much I enjoy and l love my house so much.
I appreciate everything you have helped me with. It is sooo me!!! It is sooo relaxing!
I love entertaining and family gatherings - I really use and enjoy my house to the fullest!
Me: Thank you so much Amy for sharing your experience with us. It is such a pleasure to work with you. I love your authenticity and how it is reflected in your beautiful home.
Thank you, Lord, for knowing us and caring about us so thoroughly. Your ways always amaze me!
Next episode, I will talk about 5 Beautiful Pendant Lights for Your Kitchen.
I love how effective and beautiful the pendant lights are! They can really add pizzazz to the room!
